Urban World Review

Editorial policy

Urban World Review aims to make city design and urban history clear, accurate and worth examining. Each article should distinguish established information from interpretation and give readers enough context to follow the point.

Accuracy and sourcing

We check factual claims against reliable, relevant sources and prefer original documents or authoritative references where available. We review names, dates, definitions and technical explanations before publication. When a subject is contested or evidence is limited, we say so rather than presenting an inference as settled fact.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for reader interest and relevance, not to secure a commercial relationship. Partners do not choose article conclusions or receive a promise of favourable coverage. Any material contribution from a partner is assessed separately from editorial judgement.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or a passage that needs clarification, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and the point at issue. We review specific, substantiated concerns and correct material errors clearly. When a change affects the meaning of an article, we make the revision transparent.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner-supported material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. We do not disguise promotional content as reporting. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where this applies, the image is identified as such and is not presented as a documentary photograph.
